For me game is Day vs Night compared to Switch 1. it's like playing a brand new game. in handheld mode it barely maintained 20fps on Switch 1 + catastrophic Dynamic résolution. now it's constant 1080/30fps

Game doesn't look any better than Switch 1 resolution-wise on either docked or handheld. Load times still long, albeit might be slightly faster with side-by-side comparison. Seems like it targets and hits 30fps more consistently, but again, may need to be seen side-by-side.

Game doesn't look sharper at all compared to Switch 1. Load times are noticably faster, and framerate stays a bit more consistent during late stages in the game. Turning camera in buildings has a weird frame skip and feels choppy.

Open world sections now much more consistently 60fps.
Improvements in loading times are very noticeable, 4-5 min on switch 1 reduced to 1 or 2 min. FPS also improved 60 fps very stable. The resolution I think remains the same 720, I think.

The game on Switch 2 does fix a lot with the framerate issues that it had on the original Switch, like with the hub world and Jellyfish Fields for example, plus the loading times are better.
Loading and stuttering was a major issue on switch 1. These are now entirely resolved.

It should run at a higher framerate but due to how the engine is optimized for Switch it only hits it during transitions. Cutscenes and camera may also be choppy.
SW1 has long load times of ~3-7 sec between rooms. Performance mode improved but did not eliminate this. SW2, even when not in performance mode, load times between rooms are fractions of a second for most areas. Frame rate is also more consistent.
